Being a mom and staying at home to look after the kids is utterly comforting and rewarding. However, being a stay-at-home mom also means you have to juggle various tasks such as doing household chores, sending the kids to school and picking them up as well as taking care of your husband. If you are a mom and find your daily tasks challenging and stressful, here are some awesome stay at home mom tips to simplify your life and enjoy each day with your family.

#1 Prepare the Night Before – Stay at Home Mom Tips
When your kids are in bed and every chore has been taken care of, it’s a great time to prepare for things you’ll need the next day. It is always ideal to prepare ahead of time so you won’t be too stressed or pressured doing all the tasks at once. This is an excellent stay at home mom tip.
If you want an on-the-go breakfast such as overnight oats or granola bars, you can make them at night so you’ll just grab them with your coffee the next morning.

It is also the perfect time to fold and press some clothes, organize your kids’ school items and prepare your husband’s work clothes. Do as much as you can at night when you are not trying to beat the clock and you’ll see how stress-free everything is the next day.

#2 Declutter your Home
Kids make a lot of mess every day and to keep yourself sane, you need to declutter your home. The KonMari method, developed by Marie Kondo, is a great way to do this.
Start with your closets and organize all your clothes and accessories. Get rid of the stuff you don’t really need or you can live without. Make good use of closet organizers and storage bins as they can help you organize your closets and simplify your life. Next, declutter and organize your cupboards and eliminate stuff you don’t really use.
Organize your kitchen tools and supplies so it will be easier for you to get a hold of things when you need them, especially when you’re in a rush. Clean out your pantry and fridge at least once a month and throw away the expired food while making the most of the fresh ones.
#3 Install and Use Automated Tools and Devices – Stay at Home Mom Tips
Being a stay-at-home can be really tiring sometimes. You have to do all the chores on your own while looking after your family. However, your life can be a lot easier if you know how to take
advantage of new technologies. There are lots of tools and devices at home that can make every little task easier such as cleaning and opening the garage door.
When your husband comes home and you are too exhausted to go out and open the door for him, you can simply use automatic garage door openers to save you some time and effort. When cleaning the house, you can use robotic vacuum cleaners so you can do other tasks while letting the device do the cleaning for you.
#4 Create a Meal Plan – Stay at Home Mom Tips
Cooking and preparing meals for the family three times a day is another challenging job that stay-at-home moms need to take.
Apart from your daily meals, you also need to prepare some snacks for the kids as well as the meals they bring to school. If you always wonder what you are going to make every day, why not create a meal plan? Make a list of meals and snacks you want to prepare for the whole week and get all the ingredients you need. This will save you from being overwhelmed every time your husband goes home and you still don’t have any idea what to fix for dinner. Sometimes, all you need is to be organized and plan things well so you won’t end up stressed and disappointed.

#5 Automate your Payments
When you are too busy with everything that’s going on at home, you tend to forget some important things such as paying the bills. Luckily, gone were the days when you have to go to different places or offices to pay for your electricity, water and Internet bills. Simply set up a billing system with all the companies you do business with and pay them online. The payment will automatically be withdrawn from your bank account on the scheduled date and you don’t need to log in to different sites to pay all your bills.
To make sure you won’t forget paying any of your bills, make a list of all the bills that are due for the month and check your bank account on your mobile device every now and then to make sure all the payments are made properly and at the proper time.
BONUS: Practice Some Self-Care
Now that you know some simple stay at home mom tips to make your life easier, you can now have more time for yourself and do more things you love. Practice some self-care like exercising while your kids are asleep or asking a friend to watch them so you can go get your nails done. Make sure to care for yourself so that you have energy to care for others.
Get up early to do some meditation to start your day by listening to self-hypnosis downloads. By doing this regularly, you can relax and feel great! It is hard to find the time to care for ourselves since being a mom is time-consuming, but we need to make self-care a priority.

I liked all the techniques that were suggested. Self-care is super important as a stay at home mom because we cannot give to others from an empty can. One thing that I would like to suggest is delegate tasks to other family members whenever possible to avoid burn out. Thank you for sharing. Raheela
