Introducing asimple recipe for a sweet treat for Easter in the form of chickens. These funand delicious Rice Krispy Treats chickens will be a great addition to yourEaster table. You can arrange them in a basket along with dyed eggs or decoratea birthday cake with them. If you want to wrap and gift the chickens to yourloved ones. Children and adults will be delighted.You will not need a lot of time to preparethe dessert. Be sure to involve children in the decoration, they will come upwith their own versions of the treat.You will need small white or pastel coloredmarshmallows. If you use white marshmallows, add a little yellow dye to themass. For decoration we used marshmallow candies, edible eyes and regularcornflakes.
In a large bowl suitable for microwave use, place marshmallows and diced butter.Heat the marshmallows and butter for 1-2 minutes until the marshmallows puff up. Stir.
Gently add the rice cereal. Mix thoroughly with a spoon so that all the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow.
Grease the tray with oil and spread the mixture on the tray. While the mixture is still warm and pliable, press it down with a potato masher and smooth the surface. Chill the mixture for 20 minutes in the refrigerator. Cut out circles with a cookie cutter.
Arrange the cornflake eyes and wings. You can glue them onto the melted chocolate. We didn't glue them on, they held up just fine. Add details - paws, marmalade beak and apple candy scallop.
